RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - DomMINIque - 03-06-2016 ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm hoping that the motor goes in next weekend. RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - Vinay-RS - 03-06-2016 Wow, the subframe is looking great! Did you refurbish it yourself Dom? RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - DomMINIque - 03-06-2016 Yep all myself Vinay. Not the quality of work I am after but for my running "scrap" it'll work. I just want to drive a mini now. ![]() RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - DomMINIque - 03-13-2016 Given the long weekends coming up, I'm setting myself a goal to have the mini back together by the end of the month. First start planned for somewhere near by birthday - my birthday present to myself - a running mini RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - Jared Mk3 - 03-13-2016 I would say hurry up, but that's like the pot calling the kettle black. RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - DomMINIque - 03-14-2016 Hahaha, I'll take it now. But when I start on the other one it's going to be a slower more "perfect" process RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - DomMINIque - 03-28-2016 Nothing major to report. But she's back on all fours. Hoping to drop the engine back in next weekend RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - Jared Mk3 - 03-29-2016 Pictures, or it didn't happen. RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - DomMINIque - 04-03-2016 How the morning started ![]() Trying to get the motor in from this angle which was a total fail. ![]() Eventually moved everything out in the open where I had lots of space. Finally got the motor in as I was running out of patience. ![]() This is now my only concern, I'm sure there is an issue with one of the suspension components. Front wheel (no shock currently in) ![]() Rear wheel ![]() Next weekend should involve me getting the motor properly connected up to everything. Some of the things that need to be done: Put CV's into diff housing. Put top engine steady on. Join brake lines up. Put exhaust manifold and intake manifold with Carb on. Put alternator on. Wire everything up. I also need to go past a spares shop and see if I can get some of the other things I need. May have it starting by my Birthday.... RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - Jared Mk3 - 04-03-2016 Did you replace the rubber donuts in front Dom? Or keep the old originals? |
