Not sure if I'll be using the downdraft carb for the turbo.
Just got it with the package. My concern with this carb is that there will be a shed load of stuff sticking out of the bonnet and I'm not sure if I'm that comfortable with all these things sticking out the bonnet.

Going to do a rough mock up and see what it looks like and how far it sticks out the bonnet.

The late Steve Maloney, had a turbo 1100 Mini bakkie (the one the Westwoods from PMB owned later in life)

He had the same carb on it !

How much of it stuck out the bonnet Sean?
Can you remember that far back?

Not much at all, he made his own plenium. and it was in a round front Mini

Not much of an update but checked the new wheels and they look quite decent.

Going to definitely need some arches as well.

A set of Wood and Pickett arches should work nicely and might suit the wheels well. I think it'd be neat to photoshop some images to see how it looks.

Not much of an update, essentially just moved the parts for the car around.

Really wish I could get some more time to work on this and getting it running.

Why are you going for toyota discs?
Depending on the wheel offset/drive flanges ect. you might get away with having your flanges machined in stead of spacers/adapters.
Inlet manifold and plenum, you'll have to either be on ebay for these or build your own. . . I have a bad example of a home built exhaust manifold which you might be able to use with a normal inlet manifold. . .

Oil feed lines you will only be able to make once you have the turbo in place. Once the crimp them there is no going back.
