I made a purchase (this is after a clean up) :

Also, I had to rethink the bonnet straps. My initial setup meant that the bonnet would still lift up even when fully tightened. I repostioned the strap on the slam panel so that it now comes through the grille, thus holding the bonnet down without any movement now. I still need to do the other strap, but this idea is much better than the first. Also, there's a change in grille for the car as well - just need it to be rechromed :

Definitely looks better when fitted lower down. Have you considered moving the bonnet straps closer to the edge of the bonnet?

I initially wanted them further out, but having no bonnet catch would mean that the bonnet would push down on either side and lift in the middle. Also, the current idea won't allow for them to be fitted further out.

Ah ok, that makes sense. As long as they are symmetric. It might look odd if they weren't.
Where did you get the adjustable bottom arms?

I sourced some US-spec tail lamp lenses a few months back and they finally arrived :

And fitted :

I think it needs a slight window tint and a change of wheel colour to silver.

Lights definitely look good. Perhaps the car needs to be lowered a little at the rear too?

Thanks Smile I'll get to lowering her once the engine is in.
