If you can find it, try using Flight engine cleaner. That stuff works!!

That cleaned up quite well. Good job.

Swopped steering columns around today as I damaged the splines of the one with a bobbejaan spanner when moving it to the other side of the house.

Another step taken in the right direction, keep chipping away at it and you'll have soon have a runner on your hands.

I looked at that yesterday with utter disgust Jay. But then again if it was a mk1 replica with some peace symbols all over the place then it would fit the retro 60s vibes with a grassy carpet.

That's the plan Ed. Hoping I can get it going before I start work next year but I know once it starts needing parts then it going to start to cost and things are probably going to have to slow down slightly.

I reckon we've got a bit of a race on our hands - whose is going to be up and running first mine or yours?

Mine definitely needs a lot less work to get it going. Although at my current rate of repair, yours might be 100% completed before I manage to get a move on with mine.

Perseverance Dom. Keep plodding along.

Little side project this morning.

I'm really not a fan of the front indicators on the mini. To put it very bluntly, they look like really long nipples just on the wrong part of the body.

Therefore I came up with this.

Need to still do some further testing with a headlight bulb in the fitting and what it does to the indicator light. I'm also not so keen on the glue holding the led strip down so may have to find something a little stronger to hold it down securely.

I like this plan a lot. It will be something cool and unique for your mini.
