RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - Miniac - 12-02-2015 That looks very neat, I've always liked the original clear glass indicators to be used purely as Park lights and this would be a good manner in which to keep the two circuits separate from one another. Unique and will give a clean front end. RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - Sean1380 - 12-02-2015 I put the side lights into my head light, (Hella insert had that option) and wired both filaments into the "nipple" as indicators alone RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - Jared Mk3 - 12-02-2015 (12-02-2015, 04:40 PM)Sean1380 Wrote: I put the side lights into my head light, (Hella insert had that option) and wired both filaments into the "nipple" as indicators alone I've done the same on mine. Got that right? I got Cibie headlights that had the insert for the park light in it. RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - DomMINIque - 12-03-2015 Some not much of an update today but got a little bit done. Wanted to sort out the brake lines so that I can connect the back to the splitter that goes to the front. The splitter for the black mini. The idea is to take the brake line from the bottom of this line and join it to what's on the blue subframe. ![]() Couldn't get the thing loose without bending the line so had to make a plan to limit movement. ![]() Got it loose. ![]() Now the blue one. Wanted the lines from the subframe and brake cylinder to to join the loose line of the black mini (above) ![]() Couldn't get the top piece off so opted to loosen the bottom so that I could strip everything and piece back together what I wanted ![]() It was all going well when I saw the break fluid starting to escape. And then this happened... ![]() ![]() Due to the rust between the pipe and nut, the nut would not turn freely and hence the pipe twisted and broke. I did manage to get it out though ![]() Got the one t piece stripped into its different parts ![]() Tying to take apart the other t piece but the nut was so badly stripped I had to resort to this ![]() RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - Jared Mk3 - 12-03-2015 Looks like you were having fun ![]() RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - DomMINIque - 12-03-2015 Finally got everything apart. ![]() I'm now looking for a brake line from the t piece to the switch sensor on the subframe, if anyone has a useable one that they willing to get rid of please let me know. The coil on the black mini in a very strange position. Was going to remove it but for now it can stay as I'm not so sure the wiring would reach down to the normal coil position ![]() Starter solenoid is also higher than the usual but I'm also going to leave it for now as well. ![]() Then it started pouring with rain so I had to go back inside. Luckily it stopled raining and I then decided a good vacuum was in order so I could get rid of all the rat shit that was in the mini. Some before pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now some clean photos, wasn't too bad only had to clean the vacuum 3 times as it just gave up sucking. ![]() ![]() My mini now cost me 5c less. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My only worry, which I noticed today, was that the passenger floor seems to be a little worse for wear with a fine crack/hole running along it. RE: 1100 bulletproof.. - Vinay-RS - 12-03-2015 In the worst case scenario, you can leave the floor open and provide some natural ventilation for the passenger + they can help with braking using their feet ![]() Seriously though, it shouldn't be too difficult to find a replacement panel locally right? It looks like a relatively small section of the floor. |
