Feul/petrol octane - Esteban - 08-23-2016

1) Can a 998cc 1970 engine run on unleaded gosoline?
2) If one does have hardend valve seates and runs it on leaded will it damage the engine?
3) Are the additives for unleaded feul recomended?

If you have a standard 1970 a series head on your Mini you MUST run LRP or unleaded with an additive.

Valvemaster Plus is well recommended.

1) The addition of even a small quantity of tetraethyl lead to your tank will contaminate your catalytic converter, and reduce or destroy its ability to minimize pollutants.

2) Leaded fuels should not be used where oxygen sensors and/or catalytic converters are used.

LOL

Your Mini has neither a catalytic converter nor oxygen sensors
