Rear drums with spacers - Grant - 03-12-2017

Just a quick one to confirm - am I right in saying that when converting an all drum mini to 7.5" S discs in front, because of the wider setup at the front you need to either use the rear drums with built in spacers (Minispares code GDB106) or alternatively use a 1" spacer, with longer studs, on the standard existing drums (Minispares code CW16)?

It is recommended Smile

Sorry to hijack your tread Grant, What would you need to do if it was the other way around.
I had the 7.5" disk brakes in the bakkie which I swopped onto my previous mini and like an idiot sold that mini with that setup.
Now I have drums in front and my wheels are sitting turned towards each other. Do I just do the alignment?

I am taking a flyer here but if you still have the longer track rod ends on your steering rack, which I understand are needed for the 7.5" disc setup, they may be causing the issue now that you are on drums. You might be able to adjust them in or alternatively swop back to the standard shorter track rod ends.

Okay thanks Grant that could be the case because my front wheels are facing inwards.
Im going to try and source another set of those disk brakes setup or see if i can adjust the rack ends in abit.
