The start of the suspension parts.

Got one set of very good condition discs and a brand new set of discs. I will have one set of calipers for sale if someone might be interested once i rebuilt the one set.

So, i haven't updated my post much, so basically stripped the front suspension and motor, painted the engine bay, rebuilt the front suspension and put it all back together. Some 7.5" 4 pots have been put on with the 10 inch rims, the 8.4" disc setup has been rebuilt and will go on someday maybe again. Interior was washed and all pieces were put back together again. Some original plastic arches were sourced, painted and put on again.

May be considering selling the GTS, but that's only if i find a worthy MK1 Cooper or Cooper S.

want to use the 1070 motor ive found in a worthy body.

So, the GTS bootlid always had a bit of rust on the bottom corners and recently managed to find a decent replacement bootlid, so had it resprayed and new bootlid rubber fitted. Getting those clips on the bootlid sure is a pain.

Just left with the number plate to be fitted.

Then decided while i wait, i will redo my front grill and correct the silver stripe, not correct paint for the center stripes in silver, but will do for the mean time.

Decided it's time to pull out the Cosmics i had in storage and clean them up and fit them to the GTS

So managed to give the GTS a nice clean again, fitted the new matching replacement headlights and grill. 

   

Then fitted the bootlid as well and the paint matches actually so nicely!

Decided to take the GTS out to the weekends Piston ring swap meet. 
Didn't find anything cool, but as always, nice to take it out.

Stopped next to a good friend of mines panelvan he rebuilt.

Had the GTS out 2 weekends ago for a drive with some friends and their GTS's.
