This really does look to be a very solid shell. I take it that the mk1 bootlid isn't the original items as fitted by the factory?

The bootlid is factory on this one. Quite a few of the later cars had these on. I assume there were surplus parts lying around,so they used them up. Same thing happened in the UK on a much larger scale. Instead of putting parts on to random cars, those guys made complete special edition cars just to use the parts!

That drivers door dented?
Looks like something dented it and then carried on moving through the whole door. Is the rear quarter panel ok?

Since the door is dented you might as well just give it away now
![]() That said it is a standard mk3 door, so you should be able to get a new one easily right?

Can't you just replace the door skin? Probably cheaper to get another door though
