Charlie - Mini Mk3

I was thinking the same. I think having tyres on will help as well.

Well, all four wheels are now polished and assembled. I just need to get the bolts torqued up to spec and I'm sorted. I did, however, manage to snap the head off of one bolt - I didn't put it under much strain, so I think it was weak from the beginning (didn't have a problem with any of the other ones) :

On a side note, I just managed to miss a big hailstorm while working on the car today. Oh, and I also stripped the window winder handle, so I need another one of those . . .

Really came out looking good, now all you need to do is package them up and send them up to me for safe keeping.

Pity about the stripped/broken parts.
Happens to all of us (read as me) quite often.

This will be the last update on these rims until tyres are attached - promise.

I decided to replace all the allen bolts, rather than just the one snapped one - better safe than sorry :

So this will be the last update on the wheels until they arrive on my doorstep and I begin to write about them instead Big Grin
On a side note, they've come out looking amazing, another testament to your ongoing hard work to getting Charlie looking like a real one of a kind stunner in SA.
