Original 1275GT Rebuild
#91
First two coats of Hammerite on the hubs and lower arms :

I'll only be using this paint on the hubs, upper and lower arms, radius arms, driveshafts and Hardy Spicer joints. Everything else is getting sprayed to be nice and smooth.

Nothing really different from the last picture, but they're now done. On to the next bits then :

Why black Jay?

What colour did these parts originally come in?
Just a curiosity question.

Not quite a neutral colour I suppose. I think they did come from the factory in black. In my opinion, it also looks neater.

Was just asking as I'd do black or Silver, not sure how silver would stand to road dirt though.

Instead of painting, I had mine plated at the time. They still look 100's

They do look good plated in chrome and silver. A little bit shiny but not over the top.
