Original 1275GT Rebuild
You know I would even consider not respraying the body and keeping the original paint. It looks good and since you're preserving so much of the patina on this GT, it might actually make sense.

I've thought of that Vinay, but it's not as great in person and there's rust starting in places from being left for so long before our ownership, so definitely redoing the body, unfortunately.

That's annoying. Still I guess you are keeping as much of the patina of the car as possible and the keeping the paint isn't possible.

I think you should just do a concourse car now and get it out of your system. Wink

You're making all our minis feel inferior now!

Awesome work dude. You've got some serious patience.

Finally managed to get a proper GT wheel for this car. It'll need some love, but should look good once done :

My dad has spent all week adding polish onto the cover to bring it back to life and make it soft. Also polished the spokes etc to brighten up the original paint. Added a Clubman badge that we bought a while ago for another car.

The wheel definitely has patina, so will go nicely with the car :

Got a set of carbs for this car. Will be using the airbox for my Mk3 until I can find another one :
