The car was completely stripped and sent for sandblasting.

Returning looking like this

Although the photos look very good, alot of work had been carried out by previous owners. Bad repairs, brazing and warped panels mean every panel will be worked on except the lower dash rail.

Wow, that is battered . . . I'm sure you'll do a great job of this one as well.

Right, so after the sand blasting, alot of holes showed which were brazed closed.

All along thinking about how to combat the floor.

So now this is where the warning comes into play.

Yes it is a pickup, and yes they are rare, but with the exchange rate and the amount of panels needed, the option I have chosen seemed to be the right choice.

The floor was cut out

New rear subframe nuts were welded into place as the existing were rusted

The floor was braced for the next step, also keeping the chassis straight.

I attempted this previously, but never had the equipment. I took measurements, angles were confirmed from the shell and new panels were bent

So thats the progress for now. I am awaiting newly bent inner sills and then the new box section can be fitted, thus completing the new floor.

Will keep you posted

You've come a long way in a short period since putting your head down and getting on with it, so keep up the good work on your pup.
