Turbo Build
#31
Found some details

http://turbochargerspecs.blogspot.co.za/...urbos.html

I'm thinking this isn't a bad buy at all for the mini.
Has reasonable mounting flanges that can be fabricated.

Rated for enough HP to be reliable and not ridiculously priced it seems.
Small enough turbine to get it to spin easily so that we reach boost earlier on in the rev range.

Might go an have a look at it....

So in theory I am good for about 175 hp . . .
I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

What's the target Wian?

I'm aiming for 100hp initially. Think that's enough power to get my into enough trouble.

I would normally say no, but I am fitting one with a thermostat just to help.

My cooling system might be well up to spec to keep the motor running cool but you are adding some heat to the oil with the turbo. So I just recon I give everything a fighting chance.

Got a sandwhich from japanland for cheap.

What temp is your thermostat rating for?

What oil temp is rated too high?

And normal running oil temp range?

Think normal running oil temp should be around 110' to 120'

My thermostat opens at around 90 I think. Which is to soon but I will check what it does on a temperature gauge.

Found my answer

That's in farenheit.

So normal is around 104 deg C converted and "hot" is 121 deg C.
