So as of yesterday, I don't have a place to fix the mini... and at the moment it needs a decent amount of fixing.
I was informed by someone at work that the space where I could work on the mini cannot be used for working anymore because of "health and safety". Anyway, I'm really bummed out right now :\

As I said, the situation will work itself out Smile

All in due course Vinay, this might be an opportunity to get to work along side someone with lots of mini knowledge which would then make this a blessing in disguise...

So I picked up the S bucket seats from the upholsterer today and got them fitted.

They're a bit too far forward in the car so need to get some extender brackets. Luckily Faraaz and Jared have come to my rescue. In the mean time, tomorrow morning I will have to swap the driver's seat with the original E seat as it feels very weird to drive the car right now.

They do look good though and they're rather comfy Smile
On other news, I also picked up the correct silver caliper paint and red engine enamel. The cylinder head is ready for collection from the engineering company and so is a rebuilt gear selector from Harley.

Happy to be of service Smile

You see still able to do the odd upgrade even without a place to officially work.

Yesterday afternoon was a good day. Took a drive to the northern suburbs and picked up the cylinder head from the engineering shop, collected a newly rebuilt gear selector from Harley and bought the necessary piping and hose clamps for the carbs. Unfortunately BMG had ordered the incorrect wheel bearings, so I need to check elsewhere the last component that I need to get for the brakes.

Since I've been moving parts home, my living space has been getting rather full. I decided to take a picture to show how much stuff was being stored around my desk at work before I was told I couldn't keep it there Tongue (Oh and there is more stuff that needs to come home...)

Lastly, Dominique asked me to take a picture of the funny bus driver driving  position resulting from the seats being too far forward. So here is the photo. Smile

Got some tape, the correct high temperature red paint and then decided to tape up and paint the cylinder head. Yay!
