Well, with some assistance, I managed to get the boot lids swapped out between the two cars. The white one is a lot better, but does have a little bit of rust on the bottom, but I'm sure it'll be fine to use. What is a problem, however, is the body on the side that had the shunt. It wasn't fixed properly and so the fit of the replacement boot lid on that side isn't so great.
