Thanks Tim and Trinesh. In the end I took the carbs to Abri and in the space of a couple of minutes both the jets were centred. Sometimes it helps to ask the experts for assistance

Hi Phil, no I don't have one, but a couple of the mini guys in Cape Town have them, I think.
In other news, it is most likely that the needles in the carbs are incorrect. Which would mean I need to get the correct ones and that apparently means that the jets would need to be centred again. Yay, that's going to be fun :\
I suppose it's best to do it right or not do it at all.
