Mini overheating
#2
Hi Adriaan

Just a few pointers:

Check what heat range (BP6ES NGK) plugs you are running, gapping the plugs is also very important.
Next up what distributer does your engine have and what is the timing at idle and about 3000rpm max advance. (Must be checked with electronic timing light).
Next up what carb you running with which jetting?

Remember air flow through the radiator is less with the electric fan running at high driving speed vs in traffic when it should be running.
If the car is fitted with a heater make sure there is no air locks in the cooling system.
Own some minis, break them, fix them, improve them, test them to the limit....
