Got enough parts between the two for about 1 and 3/4 cars so not a pile of stuff missing.
Black shell is in much better shape hence the purchase.
Yea my dad taught me how to weld about a year or two back. I've been doing some practice/testing on some 1.2mm sheet metal to see at what point I burn holes and when the metal starts to warp. I've got it to about 15mm sections before it becomes a problem. I also find that negatively hooking up the welder doesn't seem to generate as much heat. This has all been done with a arc/stick welder so far.
If I can find thinner welding electrodes it will apparently help.
