Nice progress on the build. It's nice that all the suspension components being fitted are new.

I had to take the rust off the spacered rear drums and give them some paint, this is the condition if your car's been standing for 18 months at third parties..... After The handbrake bracket got some treatment too. Stripped this lot from the original sub-frame to be mounted on new one. Fitted Some new handbrake bracket boots were fitted. Rear brakes all plumbed in, just need to fit the handbrake and it's cables.... Final result, now wheels can go back on the back. Hoping to get front sub-frame re-fitted soon, need to take car for new hood-lining, EIsh.

Hi Guys
Have not updated this for some time, as I finished the engine and gearbox rebuild on one of my other minis. The handbrake was treated to a respray. Fitted the front shocks, now whole suspension is complete. The steering wheel that will be fitted has arrived. For a closer look. A MOTO-LITA 13 inch dished wheel, pure petrol head love. Now just need to have a standard Boss machined to fit as the 70 pounds for the correct boss was a bit much.

I have gathered some of the parts for the engine rebuild marathon.
One of the much needed parts is the Cross Pin Diff up-grade for the gearbox.

I fitted the new tow hooks as I have had bad experiences in the past with home made items....
Then next was the hand brake and it's cables.

Nice purchase on that cross-pin diff. I also have one that'll be going in my Mk3.

Moving along now.
The new hubs, received new wheel bearings and ball joints.... Then I towed the car to the upholsterer for a new hood lining. Other angle. After removing the excess glue from the front and rear window aperture, I fitted the inner and outer weather strips to the front windows back. Next up was the rear 1/4 vent window rubbers, they were a tight fit at the top with the new hood lining. Now the actual windows was fitted back. Still need to find rear screw holes to fit those for the bracket at the back of window.
