Man that all looks so good, how much did all the additional plating cost you in the end of all the rebuilding?

Time to fit the exhaust. Power-flow in Saltriver was the obvious choice and a stainless steel free flow system was installed;

Wiring was probably the only item that I would approach differently in a next build. I started off with a fairly descent unmolested harness, repaired all the obvious breaks by cutting the same color coded wire from one or two harnesses that I had spare. Each joint was carefully soldered and sealed with heat shrink. All connectors were replaced; first soldered on and then crimped for good measure. All the old grey insulation was removed and I tied the harness together with small cable ties for a test fit. Once all the lengths were accurate and everything worked the harness was removed from the car and taped up with Wurth loom take by removing small sections of cable ties from the loom at a time.

This approach also allowed me to draw in additional wiring for the driving and spot lamps as well as the rev counter.

This was a extremely time consuming exercise and although it provided great results i think that in hindsight it may have been more cost effective if I had just purchased a new harness from Mini Spares UK.

[Image: IMG_20150226_171934_zpscbuhe99w.jpg]

For added rigidity I opted for the newer solid one piece stabilizing arm rubbers that the Rover Mini use. These are far superior to the two piece items traditionally used.

I used these on the top stabilizing arm as well as both gearbox stabilizing arms.

[Image: Milnerton-20140308-00832_zpsga5cng3x.jpg]

A bit of a overkill but I fitted a broken bolt repair kit purely because of the additional mounting pints providing additional strength when compared to the traditional single bolt option;

That roof lining is really neat! I like how it comes down both A and B pillars.
