Mini Novice...
#1
Both my wife and I always wanted a Mini, we finally got the chance to buy our first little project…

I have no Mini knowledge at all, I only now  want to drive one, so the whole rebuild will go one step at a time having to learn everything, and some things the hard way…

So here is the very first before picture the day we took our mini home…

Looks may be deceiving...

It soon came to be clear that this little Mini's middle name was "Cover-up"!!!

Cable Ties
Isolation tape
Tar strips
Expanding foam
Silicone

choose your poison...

some more

And off we go to the sandblasters...

Ouch, some serious bodges on its wiring and bodywork. Glad to see that you're taking it back to bare metal and going to get it sorted out properly.

That nasty junk on the floor is my all time worse job on a mini.

Looking good so far dude.

My best source of info when I started to learn anything about minis was the manual.
It is somewhere around on the forum.

Wow! The filler on that door . . . It's amazing what some people do to cars and can be proud of or happy with. Glad you're getting it sorted.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. We all start somewhere. I'm still learning.
