I have decided to clean and polish the wiper motor before fitting it back.

Stripping:

After some cleaning and polishing.

I will also be reshaping and then respraying the grille and it's surrounds as they have been sprayed to silver, which sucks.

But time is not on my side as time to work is getting less and less after hours.

Yesterday I had some time to burn.

I started with the grille surrounds after finding a matching set and the grille itself.

This was then cleaned to bare metal with thinners and some steelwool.

The grille when I started.

Why Thank you Jared.

So masking of badge.

Could not match the blue that I wanted perfectly, but it works.  Finally done and back on the car and the sides was made black again.

Was going for the GT look on the grille and badge, could actually fit the GT, but still undecided about that.
Did not make the very top black again as I think it suits the rest of the engine bay being silver/chrome in colour.

From the very front. Notice how all three indents are chrome and not only the centre one like the 1275E normally has.

The BIG PICTURE, what a days work is worth in the end.

The difference is amazing. Straight valence. Fresh paint. Fresh grille. Looks so good.
