Tim's Mini GTS Race Car

Spent 2 hours at the sandblaster after work on Thursday to blast all my rims and they came out pretty good for the most part. One of the rims seems beyond repair and the other is mismatched and looks to be an older Dunlop rim. I found an old bearing and made a turntable in order to spray the rims and it worked out pretty well. Just did a quick coat of acid etch to stop them from rusting. So now I just have to fix the edges and spray them in 2k.

Those wheels came out quite well.
Are those the standard 12" GTS wheels and are you going to paint them silver again?

Good going Tim. I made a "turntable" from one of the old waterpumps I had sitting on a shelf. Gives a nice even finish.

Finally managed to finish the rims. Had to remove the strengthening plate from one of the bent rims and weld it into one of the good rims to make a set of 4. Really happy with how they turned out

No they wont as the historic racing rules dont allow them and also because I dont have any

I can't wait either! 

Did some more work on the car this weekend. Got the tyres mounted and back on the car and also fitted the arches and trim along the bottom. Also spent about 2 hours cleaning the windscreen and rear window seals as they were incredibly dirty. Next step is getting the glass in and the exhaust made.
