Hi
My mini, with an electronic ignition, stalls when hot. If I leave it for a few minutes to cool down it will start fine. I think it is time to replace the coil. I have only a Midas and Autozone close by. Which coil should I buy?
regards
Adriaan

Hi Adriann,
You can get a coil for a golf mk1 that runs with the electronic ignition. It's a pale green colour.
If you get any other just make sure it runs 3 ohms stable (test with a volt meter).
You should be able to get this at either.
A mini guru up here in GP, once mentioned to me that the coil gets excessively hot if wired the wrong way around as well. So maybe just check this.

Hi
Thank you for the assistance. I have check the wires to make sure that they are correctly connected and they are. I hope the new coil will solve this problem.
