Grimz just playing devil's advocate here, you realize this is a publicly accessible forum?
Basically what that entails is do not set yourself up for problems in future ITO cars and their paperwork.
I mentioned a problem with drums, that did not fit 10 inch wheels that needed to be machined to fit, on this forum. The next visit I made to the supplier of said drums, I was questioned how I could ask such a thing on a public forum. This was not even anything remotely to do with the law. Just be careful.

About a month ago a 1275 Cooper S 1966 came up for sale for R15 000 on OLX in the Cape, I phoned immediately and was told to phone the next day as the seller was driving.
I phoned the next morning and asked the engine number and VIN number the seller started with a story of he could not give me that info as there are alot of thieves out there. I had to visit their show room, I told the seller I am PTA based and am not travelling to Cape Town on his word alone. I asked how it is possible that such a car is for sale at that price and got given another lot of BS.
I spoke to a fellow MOCSA member about this car and was told that a JHB based oke flew to the Cape on business saw the add and when he tried to go view the car, IT WAS STOLEN AND WAS IMPOUNDED by the SAPS. Just be careful again people if it sounds to good to be true....

Guys there are alot of thieves on OLX. Yesterday i saw a vtec for sale on there which looked in very good condition.
Told my friend as he was looking for one. We called the guy and he says that it at a dealership in brakpan. So I ask him what the name of
the dealership which he seemed unsure of. Anyway he gave me the name and I manage google them and get there details. Call them and they have
no such car there or anyone by that name. This guy on the add insisted it only a cash deal and when we close to the area must call him and he will direct us. I feel really sorry for people that fall into this trap.

Yes there are scams out there , but What I don't understand is where is the scam in making people drive out to a location and just not be reachable?
its another thing if you get scammed out of money but getting scammed into loosing time and petrol money?
I don't get it ? The scammer makes nothing.
Am I not seeing the big picture?

Generally a potential buyer will be carrying some amount of cash with them when viewing a vehicle either in the form of a deposit or the entire amount needed to purchase and drive the vehicle home at the same time, these are the cases where driving to a remote location could become unsafe as it could very well be a trap to rob you of your hard earned cash
