If I where ever to do a MK1/11, it WILL look like this. RE: Malcolm aka theMINIguy - Vinay-RS - 08-28-2015 ^^ That's a very nice colour combination for a mini. I quite like the larger steelies as well. Those Japanese really do have a great sense of style with their minis. Especially the whole mk1 replica look. RE: Malcolm aka theMINIguy - Miniac - 08-28-2015 Have to agree with Vinay here. Those Japs know how to make a replica mk1 out of any model of mini. That blue mk3/4 at first glance is a very convincing mk1 until you look for the external hinges and the shape of the door. RE: Malcolm aka theMINIguy - theMINIguy - 08-31-2015 Here are the before and after pics of trial fitting my replicated mk2/3 bonnet stripes RE: Malcolm aka theMINIguy - Miniac - 08-31-2015 Amazing how much a bumper and a set of stripes can changethe look of a car. I need to build me a pit in my garage like that too. RE: Malcolm aka theMINIguy - Enzio - 09-01-2015 That garage pit looks like the ticket RE: Malcolm aka theMINIguy - Boyscout - 09-01-2015 Love that colour. Saw this beautiful specimen parked in our basement at work. RE: Malcolm aka theMINIguy - theMINIguy - 09-01-2015 Nice. That's a very clean example. Where is this? Randburg somewhere? RE: Malcolm aka theMINIguy - Boyscout - 09-01-2015 Bryanston RE: Malcolm aka theMINIguy - theMINIguy - 09-04-2015 Some of you know I have been rebuilding a set of clocks for my '78 GTS project. I have 2 near complete sets and one missing rev counter. All three have missing/broken clips etc. missing bulbs and damaged PCB's. I have stripped, cleaned, repaired, replaced all the glass and reassembled one set and had it hooked up last night to test. I'm chuffed.. it all works ![]() |
