Love your car dude. Speak to Andrew Shadwell about an 850 motor, if you're looking for one for your car. Will you be able to join the classic car show at Killarney or Hermanus?

Good to have you back with us Back, your mini has come a long way and is an absolute beaut of a mk1 example.
Are those Newton Commercial, MiniSpares or locally manufactured carpets? They look stunning.

Thanks everyone. Good to be back. Just sad about the history we've lost in the process.
I had a 850 engine but it had a Austin engine number. Sold it to Abri a while back. The engine stood outside in cape town for about 30 years. But I will speak to Andrew. Maybe i'll find a Morris one.
Carpets was actually bought form Somerford. But i'm 99.9% sure its a newton Commercial carpet. Part numbers matched but for some reason Somerford's price was cheaper. They probably wanted to get rid of some stock.
I've actually ordered some door and rear panel cards from Newton Commercial earlier in the year. (Before the Rand took a nose dive) Came out pretty good. I'll start a post on the build section as I see this as a going concern (aren't all minis a going concern in some way or another?)
I'm not here the longweekend but will see about the Hermanus trip. I have an idea for going to George next year but that's a whole different ballgame.

Hey man, yeah I'm pretty sure he knows of a morris 850 engine that might be for sale. I remember chatting to you when we met at Gordon's bay. I hope he does have one. It would make your car even more special.

I have a spare 850 sitting in a wheelbarrow in my garage, how do you tell if it's a Morris or an Austin motor?
