Hi guys

Founder and ex chairman of MOCKZN (+-1996) before my move up to the big smoke (Johannesburg) in December 2014.

Am 46 years old now, (2015) and have had a Mini since i was 18.

Currently own 2.

One 1978 1100DL round front with a 1380 and more mods than you shake a stick at
And
a 1981 1275e Clubman which at some stage will end up with a Toyota 20 valve 1600cc engine.

I am a hot rodder at heart so a standard Mini doesn't stay that way long in my hands,

Welcome Sean, I had a look at your Mini yesterday. It looks fantastic. Glad you made it all the way to JHB.

Think i have owned about 6 Minis in total.

My 1st car was a 1977 GTS bought from a dude in Durban in 1986, still remember the okes name, a Tagoor Sookul (so cool ?)

Motor on that packed up within two weeks, what does and 18 year old and his dad who is a wood worker know about motors, and the fact that the little orange light was permanently on once the motor hit operating temp from day of purchase meant nothing to us.

Well that car rotted away after MANY years of abuse.

Then it was a 1976 GTS, which was sold years later to Wayne Westwood in PMB, the famous George.

Then Spencer one, bought from a local Mini Specialist, less said about that Mini, the better, it was stripped and sold for spares, only thing i kept was the log book and tags LOL.

and then Spencer two, who actually is still in my dads name.

And lastly the red 1275E project car.

Oh and the green JHB shell that i owned for two years and now belongs to Craig B.

Nice bit of history Sean, but let's not forget that your little red 1275E has a name...
