However it is not impossible.

The steps go something along the lines of: (this assumes you don't have a single piece of paper and it is not on the eNatis system)

Get the car data dotted
Obtain a police clearance cetificate
Obtain a roadworthy certificate
Obtain a weighbridge certificate
Take the data dot certificate and police clearance certificate to licensing department to have introduced and registered onto the system. Takes a week or two before you get your papers.

Keep in mind that the car will be registered as a code 3 and date of first registration will be in the current year and not '66 which obviously effects the value somewhat.

Here is a link of a more in detailed process:

Your biggest pain is it's up and down to the licensing department a few times and being very patient with government officials who aren't very helpful.

Thanks of that info....will certainly look into this.

A couple of questions:

1) What exactly is the process of getting a car "data dotted" and where do I get that done?
Do I need the physical car for that?
2) Then I guess after the whole process, from code 3 onwards, I then have to get the RWC etc....Up until that point its just to get papers and registered to my name...correct?
