That's a beautiful clubman that you have. I have never seen a Clubman in that color before but it does look very nice. I like it a lot.
I see you have a set of Minstrals mags on the car. Those were not standard on the clubmans but one could have them as options.
From the pictures it looks like it has the original interior but if have more pictures one could tell or not if it has. Maybe share a pic or two.
And one of the engine....I am curious to see if it motor has the original motor color. What's the history of the motor? Do you know?
Interesting, I had no idea the wheels were an option, now they will be staying on the car. The body has two very narrow hand painted coach lines that are in gold, very neatly done I might add. The interior is as original even the carpets. I have a fair amount of history with the one previous owner writing the yearly millage in a book up 2004, the car has covered 20k km according to the speedo. I have attached a couple of shots. Thanks!

I can't help with the colour story but it might be interesting to know that in 1974, 1648 Clubman Mini's were sold all with the second generation engines of 1098cc.
The total Mini sales all models that year were 1.8% of total car sales making the Mini 24th on the popularity list in SA. The Clubman cost all of R1865 in Jan and R2025 in December . The Rand in those days was a lot stronger against the UK Pound at an average of R1,5 to 1 UKP
Thanks for your interest, the colour certainly stands out as it does not exist here, taking it to a mini show in a few weeks at Santa Pod here in the uk (mini in the park) which will have many hundreds of cars, will be interesting to see how many SA cars are there. The colour on mine is original as the whole body inside out and upside down is the same colour.
