Hi chaps

Firstly, good job Umar for getting the forum up again Wink

I've always loved Minis, my first being a 1974 1275 GTS which I sold many moons ago.

I currently have 4 project Minis (see my sig.) but I am concentrating on getting my 1978 Special deLuxe back on the road.

Your Deluxe looks good, are you planning on fitting some arches to her Malcolm?

Yep, just waiting to see what Séans new arches look like in the flesh. Will paint them body colour as the car will be changing colour as soon as time and funds permit.

Which arches are you looking at going for?

Not sure Jared, I like the ones on Wian's clubby but they may be a little too wide. They must curl under the rear bumper, I'm not a fan of spats that stop at the body seam.

Not much to the interior yet Vinay. No door cards, dash is stripped etc. Will only get to completing the interior after paint.

The original colour is Poly Tan but I like French Blue (think its called that, see sample pic) with a white roof.

Those look like Grp2 narrows, that really is a lovely example to copy. The Chinese just have a thing with the way that they style minis that make them highly desirable.

Those Grp2 narrows would do the trick. Chrome trim or black rubber trim on the arches?

Séan told me a neat trick for chrome. With the new shiny bumpers and grille it will look better with chrome me thinks
