Dejavu MK1 61

A friend bought the 61 MK1 to restore but he got occupied with his V8's (64 Chev Impala, Chev Apache and Ford F1) and decided that i take the car and restore since im a Mini Fanatic.

The Specs will be as follows:

1. Colour - Ferina Grey
2. Interior - Red Interior
3. Engine - Standard 1275 G.T.S Engine with Twin S.U's
4. Brakes - Front disc brakes 7.5. Back - Drums
5. Petrol Storage - Twin tanks L/H and R/H
6. Wheels - 10" Mini Lights

That looks like a lovely rust free shell you have there - UK guys would give their eye teeth for something like that. Enjoy the build and thanks for sharing; lovely pictures too.

Yea saw it.
When I looked at the car the first time I had to do a double take. Thought there was one missing out my yard.

I'd love to see the two of them next to each other in the flesh.

Lovely project K-za. I’m busy with an early car myself. Do you know if yours is a Blackheath or Motor Assemblies baby?

Then I want to ask a favour. If (and only if) you decide to redo the dash cards, door cards and rear quarter panel cards, I’d be very keen to see what the ones look like that were in the car. My car’s upholstery is quite tatty and since I’m going for factory original I could do with some good second hand cards (if you’d consider getting rid of the old ones that is)

Hi Abri the tag reads"Morris Motors Ltd , Cowley ,Oxford ,England.
Due to work commitments nothing has been done to the car since but will advise when I get to the interior bits
