Yes, you read the title correctly. 

This Forum platform was established on the 26th August 2015 due to the interest from mini-owners across South Africa, quite a few members chipped in generously and contributed money to the running cost of the platform. Unfortunately when going through the account today the realisation hit me that our funds are about to run dry within a month or two.

The running cost of this platform in its current form is roughly R57.33 per month or R688/year. If you are interested in the full cost breakdown to date etc. please refer to the first post of the "How much does a Forum Cost thread". 

I would like to appeal to all users of the Forum for suggestions on a way forward: either we need to raise more funds to carry us through, or think of new options to host this site elsewhere, or maybe accept that the need for a Forum has now past with the rise of Facebook etc.

Can you believe 1 year has passed since the new forum was created on 26th August 2015?!?!? Its been an amazingly slow year for me in terms of mini but I'm sure like a lot of us here we are always kept motivated reading the incremental progress of many of our forum members.  

Anyhow welcome to all the new members (cant believe we just cracked through 200) and thank existing members who have supported the forum since day 1! This community is truly amazing in terms of the wealth of knowledge and support around anything remotely mini related.

(This contribution will be recorded as always in our operating section). Firstly a big Thank You to Malcolm for bringing the stickers from art work to life! 

It is my intention to try and make the Forum self-sufficient with a few ideas I've had. First up we have Stickers!
Each sticker costs R19 to make and will be sold at R25, making a R6 profit that will be tracked in the cost thread.

I'm very happy with the size, Its not big at all, and will neatly fit in the corner (or center) of any window.

On 09-12-2015 the Afrihost hosting account was moved under a new account called: admin (at) samini (dot) co (dot) za. This was done such that anyone can take over the reigns and manage the site should they wish.
The balance of R1470 was transferred into this Afrihost account (as a credit) from which it will debt monthly. Any further contributions made will be transferred into the Afrihost account.

The most recent account statement can be found here at all times. Please ping me via this thread or PM if I have not updated in awhile I normally update at least one a quarter.

On 09-12-2015 the Afrihost hosting account was moved under a new account called: admin (at) samini (dot) co (dot) za. This was done such that anyone can take over the reigns and manage the site should they wish.
The balance of R1470 was transferred into this Afrihost account (as a credit) from which it will debt monthly. Any further contributions made will be transferred into the Afrihost account.

The most recent account statement can be found here at all times. Please ping me via this thread or PM if I have not updated in awhile I normally update at least one a quarter.
