GTS Rev counter wiring
#1
Hi Guys

I have a GTS cluster that has a newish printed circuit, yet this did not solve my rev counter problem. The rev counter is not working at all.

I am using an electronic ignition kit (Accuspark).

I am using the white wire with the black tracer from the negative on the coil to the back of the rev counter.

Then from the voltage stabilizer on the B connector (I think) a wire is run to the spade connector on the back of the rev counter.

The rev counter is the RCV type 12 volt negative earth.

Any ideas or proper wiring/ diagram will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Own some minis, break them, fix them, improve them, test them to the limit....

According to this wiring diagram (Its the same tacho connection for all the diagrams with voltage stabilizer) you should connect direct to a 12v line.
I had endless problems with accuspark and aftermarket tacho, which were eventually solved by putting a 'floating earth' on the w/b input line, but its unlikely you will need this with an original unit
