Dear Forum members, please help. My coil is getting hotter than normal and I am not sure what to do....what will be the process to diagnose? I have a non ballast system..tried much of whats out there.

Also, please confirm what coil do Mini's take? 1.5 ohm vs 2.5- 3 ohm..

My name is Stefan. I live in KZN. I lost my job July 2015 and now have to expand my workshop area to make knives for a living. 

I inherited this Leyland Mini from my father. I have partially rebuilt it. The engine was done by Miclin Motor Engineering and the gearbox by Wayne Westwood.

The stock includes brand new spares all imported from the UK. The engine was completely redone, as well as the gearbox. The spares total about R47 879. I need to sell all of it urgently. Asking price R28 000 o.n.c.o. You are basically buying the spares and getting the car for free

The body was repaired and re-sprayed completely. The seats have been re-upholstered. I have the parts for converting the brakes to Golf 1 discs.

This all includes the HAYNES Service and Repair Manual.

Hi guys...

So my mini has endless overheating issues.
I've had the original mini raditor serviced about 3 times in about 2 years. I've decided to do a golf radiator conversion.

Please could someone upload pics of the plumbing of pipes. Also I heard that the original mini expansion tank can be used. 

My problem is that i saw some guys putting the inlet and outlet pipes of the golf raditor on the right hand side (pipes face the alternator side) however then the golf radiator expansion tube will be at the bottom and not the top. Would this still work?

Any tips and guidance would be useful.

Hi Guys,

Can someone that has a Mini Riley or Wolesely borrow me one of the front indicator lenses.
There is a place in Boksburg(lenses for oldies) that can make new lenses for me however they 
a sample to make a mould.
I had the set but they got misplaced when I had the car at my parents place.I only have one of the orange bit left.

   

Hi Guys, anyone know where I can get a carb kit for a dellorto dhla 45 sidedraft.
My Mini came with this setup and would like to leave it like that.
The bakkie used to run really strong with it however due to it being standing for a while
i think it may be clogged up. I managed to start the car the other day and had it running smoothly but yesterday
when I tried starting it not taking properly. when it does eventually start it throws out flames from the carb.

any help would be appreciated
