Where in SA is the best company to source spares for the Minis , I need new radiator hoses for mine?

From a 1999 Kensington Cooper:

Hi folks

I know that I am pushing my luck a bit on this one, but I am looking for the following for my quite highly tuned 1330cc mini with an HIF6 gas flowed carb mated to a K+N cone filter and sports inlet manifold;

Needles - either AKN or BCE
Spring - yellow
(Have picked up these specs using the 'winsu' program)

I know that I can source through The Sports Car Centre, but just wonder if anybody has locally!?

Hi All,

I have recently bought a old clubman and before I go ahead and spend to much on it I want to get the engine going.

So the wires are in shambles so I will rewire entire car. However I have rewired the it just to start to see if the engine is ok.

I can turn the engine at the cam with 34 Socket. And it turns over.

I have installed a new starter, coil and solenoid and Distributor.

When I turn the key The engine cranks over and smoke comes out of the breather and the car back fires. 

I've checked spark and each spark plug has spark. 

The petrol pump works as I can see in the lines that fuel flows. 

I've saw that they say it should be that the dizzy dog gear could be 180 deg wrong and I tried to rotate it 180 deg and it doesn't want to go install that way so it is in the only way it fits in naturally.

My coil gets Hot is that normal?

What could it be?

Just a FYI.

As per the  "How much does a forum cost" thread, we need to raise some funding to keep this forum going. I have decided to try Google Ads and see if it will bring any significant income to keep the forum going. I will be able to advise after a month has past if it can sustain us.

Im not a fan of ads, however it may be the easiest way to keep things going.
