Let's see some more pictures of your new purchase Some basic tools, a Haynes manual, and things like axle stands and a trolley jack will make it a lot easier to work on your own car. A torque wrench is probably worth getting too. There is a lot of experience on this group to help you when you need to work on your Mini.
