Seeing as I couldn't load the images of the lense I got for the car, here they are :

Before, as bought :

After :

Front end and engine bay got a bit of a strip :

Interior stripped out :

And the **** bitumen taken off the floors :

Roof lining removed :

Grille redone, but I needed to find a centre badge :

So, I found a badge that needed some work :

I took the white paint off and the original black paint underneath (it was too far gone) and gave it a nice polish :

And on the grille (just needs some reflectors now) :

And finally, as of today, the engine bay with more bits removed :

Interior is now nearly empty :

Also, I found some Leyland Suid-Afrika A-panel badges for this car :

Didn't someone say one of the Leyland badges should say South Africa and the other one should say Suid Afrika?

Oh and any ideas on the colour for the motor? Also does the rocker cover get painted in crackle black? I was thinking I should do something like that too perhaps.

I think the badges should be one of each, yes.

The motor will probably be black. Also, the rocker cover is already the standard black crackle. Smile

Your motor looks like it's still in its factory paint (head & rocker cover at least). Nice!

Two Leyland Suid Afrika badges....this one will run on brandy & coke then? Wink

I need to get some engine cleaner on there to see what colour is under the oil - I can't quite remember. The rocker is still the original crackle.

Brandy and coke will be a classy drink for this car, considering its history!

Yes, it broke, so someone used a piece of what looks like shelving to make a bracket. It's not even welded, just bolted on.
