New to the everything mini

Hi Guys

My name is Duncan and I am a newbie to the mini world. I recently bought a 1980 mini 1275 E (body has been modified).

When I bought the car it had been sitting in the yard (not running) for over a year. The previous owner told me the engine was dead and that i needed to buy a new engine. However after fiddling with the car (not really knowing what I was doing) for about a week I got it running. Currently she is leaking a leaking oil a little bit and smoking.

I am hoping that this group will give me some tips on how to get my baby looking and running amazing.

Quick tip, your front bumper is fitted wrongly and the two under riders is fitted on top, it should be the bumper first and then the under riders under neath that.

The looks good otherwise.

GTSPhil, I noticed the front bumper when I got the car. I am not really sure why the previous owner had it like. I will change it soon.

welcome bud, i think he is using the front bumper almost a bib spoiler, maybe get the front bumper in correct place and get an actual bib from Sean, otherwise very nice mini, perfect for beach mobile
