My subframes are in the process of being sandblasted and primed in red oxide. I want to spray them black at home using an aerosol. I've heard a couple of brands and paint types being thrown around - quick dry "QD" enamel and hammerite seem popular, although the only QD enamel I've seen on the shelves says that it is for use on engines.

Has anyone used any specific products that they've had good results with in terms of longevity and finish?

Hi.  Brand newbie today from Kloof  Durban I recently purchased an unfinished project which is badically a newly painted body shell and boxes of bits n pieces.  Should keep me out of trouble for a while.  She is an 82 Rebel 1275.  So hopefully as i progressi will be able to pick up a few tips along with the way.  Cheers guys
