Hi guys

Most of you may know me

For those of you who don't

Name: Junaid
Age: 23
Location: Durban

I bought my first mini when I was in grade 10, with the intention of entering SPL comps, but once we eventually got it running and after buying a 'miniworld' magazine, my intention then changed. A few years later I unfortunately wrote it off

I then bought another 1974, 1100 clubman, which I currently own

  SILL PANELS
Posted by: barryb - 11-02-2015, 02:16 PM - Forum: For Sale - Mini related - Replies (4)

Found a pair of outer sill panels for a van or traveller, part nos. 14A9026&7, in my workshop that I am not going to use. Although they are dusty, they are as supplied by Minispares. Currently they retail for twenty seven quid, apiece. If you can use these, make me a resonable  offer and they are yours. Rgds, Barry B.

  Gear selection issue
Posted by: minitim - 10-29-2015, 07:01 PM - Forum: Technical Queries / Questions - Classic Mini - Replies (10)

Still trying to get my head round this one.
I can select all gears easily without the motor running, but if engine is running the gears are alot more notchy. The clutch take up is also bearly off the floor. It may be my imagination, but gets worse as the motor warms up. May be due to primary gear end float being too small.

What else do yo guys think?

  Suspension advise
Posted by: Grant - 10-29-2015, 05:35 PM - Forum: Technical Queries / Questions - Classic Mini - Replies (9)

So my plan is to build a fast road mini for the occasional track day.

A friend has kindly offered to bring some things back from the UK for me and I'm looking at suspension bits and pieces.

The obvious first step seems to be hi-los front and back now I'm wondering if its worth going the whole hog and also fitting Minispares suspension geometry kit (part number MSSK3014) which includes:

-Rear camber brackets
-Adjustable lower arms
-Adjustable tie bar rods
-The necessary bushes to go with it

Or would this be overkill for a car that will mainly be used on the road?
