I like checking Gumtree and the other classifieds for random things. What I have noticed is how really crappy old Minis still seem to fetch at least R25k these days. Most of them just look tired, or they have been molested through the years and don't look like a Mini should anymore. 

Can't we make a thread where general values of the different Mini models can be put on as a guideline perhaps of how much cars are worth?

I have absolutely no idea what my car is worth, cause I have never considered selling it and also have no plans to sell it. Just think it would be a good thing in general to know what price cars are expected to fetch!

What are you guys' thoughts?

Hi Guys

So this a the thread of how my panelvan was rebuilt.

I looked about 4 years for a body that had the side panels intact as well as the grille.
The engine that came with the car was left outside and thus seized solid.
The wiring was a complete joke and the front brakes was interlinked from left to right with some hydrolic hoses of unknown origin.  There was no hard line running from the front t-piece to the back limiter valve for the brakes.
The list of problems/challenges was long and interesting.

   

   

Jacaranda Run – 18th October

On Sundday the 18th of October we will have our annual Jacaranda run in Pretoria.

Our Meeting point for this year’s run is the Groenkloof Shopping Centre Just off Fountains Circle on 

the corner of Baines Street and George Storrar Drive . Our land mark is Groenkloof Slaghuis of the 

infamous Eddie van die Slaghuis. 09h00 as its pretty warm this time of the year. We will follow in 

convoy to the white Jacarandas, then to the Union Buildings and then out to Sammy Marks Museum 

for lunch at their restaurant. Those who would like to pack a picnic basket may do so. Members 

interested in joining us can google Ditsong Museums to see what Sammy Marks Museum has to 

offer.
